American model and fashion designer Jill Dodd has pulled back the curtain on her stunning life as the pleasure wife of a Saudi arms dealer.

Dodd opened up to the New York Post the decadent parties, couture clothing, and expansive estates she was treated to by Adnan Khashoggi over the years.

Khashoggi, now 81, is best known for participating in multiple infamous political scandals in the 1980s. A well-known womanizer with multiple wives, he met with world leaders like Ronald Reagan; his yacht, later owned by Donald Trump, cost $400,000 per month to maintain in the 80s.

Dodd’s role in Khashoggi’s story begins in 1980, after meeting at a luxurious party in Cannes, in which the 21-year-old Dodd fell for Khashoggi, who was 24 years her senior. Despite the staggering age difference, Dodd describes Khashoggi as an “extraordinary lover” who paid for her education—as long as she counted herself among the other women at his beck and call.

Dodd, who went on to found the successful clothing line Roxy, says that despite the fact she never forfeited her independence or ambition, and has no regrets today, she has learned a valuable lesson. Being a member of any man’s harem wasn’t ultimately for her: “Neither money nor love are worth the sacrifice of integrity, inner peace and authenticity.”
