Late night host Stephen Colbert told viewers Thursday night that he can relate to Lawrence O’Donnell’s off-air tirade recently leaked to the public.

“While the footage is not flattering, as a broadcaster, I sincerely feel for Lawrence O’Donnell in this clip. Hosting a television show is extremely stressful, and these guys know it is really hard to do with any distractions,” Colbert said.

He went on to say that it can happen “to the best of us” — and in solidarity, he released a clip of his very own meltdown from the Late Show studio. Take a look.
