We’ve hit the final stretch of the 2017 NFL season, with only three weeks remaining between now and the end of the regular season. Some teams are trying to make the playoffs, while others are jockeying for a high pick in the 2018 NFL draft. Others are left somewhere in between. But every single team has one thing that they each need to avoid, each team has one mistake they cannot afford to make. For the Atlanta Falcons, it would be continuing to underuse Devonta Freeman. For the Chicago Bears, it is prioritizing winning over Mitchell Trubisky’s development. The Detroit Lions shouldn’t bother to attempt to run the ball, and the Eagles need to avoid getting too conservative offensively.
