In the aftermath of the Eagles’ demolishing of the Vikings, The Ringer’s Robert Mays cautions against labeling Philly an underdog in the Super Bowl. The team that looked like the NFL’s best until Carson Wentz went down in December has returned to form, thanks to the suddenly stupendous play of backup Nick Foles. Foles threw for 352 and three touchdowns against the Vikings Sunday, putting up 38 points against a fearsome defense that gave up 30 points only twice this season. Looking like a star, Foles will now compete for his first Super Bowl against a guy who once started a season as a backup, and finished it as a Super Bowl champion.
