Like the month it takes place in, NFL free agency in March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.

In the first few hours when signings are possible, the best free agents in the league are snapped up like hotcakes and most of the top talent is gone by the end of the initial feeding frenzy.

But, there are always a few quality free agents who remain on the market and this year is no different.

Still on the market as of this writing is 30-year-old defensive end Ezekiel Ansah, who played with the Lions last year. Though he has injury concerns, Ansah did collect 48 sacks in six seasons with the Lions and could be a great pass-rusher in limited action this season.

Also available is 27-year-old Bryce Callahan, formerly of the Chicago Bears. “Primarily working in the slot, Callahan started 10 games in 2018 and 29 in four seasons with the Bears,” according to ESPN. “He would help a team that faces highly productive slot receivers. According to Pro Football Focus, opposing quarterbacks had a 78.9 passer rating when targeting Callahan in 2018, among the five lowest in the league.”

Other solid free agents who remain on the market are outside linebacker Justin Houston, defensive back Eric Berry, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, linebacker Clay Matthews, tight end Jared Cook, and cornerback Ronald Darby.
