Kaepernick’s Attorney Hints Patriots Could Be Interested in Signing Kap

Mark Geragos also indicated the Raiders might want to sign his client.

Days after the New England Patriots brought in troubled talent Josh Gordon, the team has been linked to another controversial player: Colin Kaepernick.

At least that’s according to the out-of-work quarterback’s lawyer,  Mark Geragos.

In an interview with TMZ Sports,  Geragos said “next week there may be some news” about his client signing with an NFL team.

Pressed for more details, Geragos said it would not be with the Dolphins despite Kaepernick’s interest in the team because of the continued national anthem protest by Miami’s Kenny Stills.

Geragos then gave a hint, saying he could already see Kap with a team “if Al Davis was still alive.” Davis was the longtime owner of the Oakland Raiders and his son Mark still has control of the team.

The second hint Geragos dropped pointed to the Patriots. When talking about Meek Mill and a new song he wrote in support of Kaepernick, Geragos pointedly referenced the man who visited the rapper while he was in prison – New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

While all of that needs to be taken with a big grain of salt, it does at least indicate Kaepernick hasn’t given up on returning to the NFL, regardless of what some people have said.
