Many critics will say it was a bad Super Bowl.

And, similar to the way they felt about what the haters said throughout the season, the New England Patriots don’t care.

In a game that was the polar opposite of Super Bowl LII, the Patriots prevailed 13-3 over the Los Angeles Rams in a defensive battle that saw the teams knotted at three points apiece in the fourth quarter.

The game set records – fewest points by both teams (16), fewest points by the winning team (13); fewest combined points through three quarters (6) – but the only one Patriots fans will care about is number of Super Bowls won (6).

That figure ties them with the Steelers for most of any NFL franchise.

This was the first Super Bowl that did not see Tom Brady throw a touchdown, though he did complete 10 passes to Julian Edelman for 141 yards, earning the veteran wide receiver the game’s MVP.

Brady’s counterpart, Rams quarterback Jared Goff, was hassled all night and completed 19 of 38 passes for 229 yards and had a costly interception that essentially sealed the game.

Ironically, despite the low score, the Patriots’ 10-point margin of victory in Super Bowl LIII was their largest in any Super Bowl win. They previously won by 3, 3, 3, 4 and 6 points.

At 41, Brady is also the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl and coach Bill Belichick is the oldest coach to hoist the Lombardi Trophy at age 66.
