Ryan Clark believes Green Bay will try to lure Saban away from Alabama.

If Nick Saban and Alabama are able to repeat this season and capture the NCAA college football championship, it would be his second back-to-back title in the past five years.

The win would also give him six national championships –  five at Alabama – overall. Point being, there really won’t be much else for the longtime coach to accomplish in college football.

So, is there a chance the 67-year-old could leave the NCAA behind and try his hand at pro ball in the NFL once again? ESPN’s Ryan Clark thinks so and he believes it will be with the Packers.

On Get Up, Clark argued it’s time for Saban to take on another challenge and the chance to help right the ship in Green Bay and coach an all-time great quarterback in Aaron Rodgers might be too much for Saban to pass up.

“If you’re Green Bay right now, you sell the [farm]. You sell the [farm],” Clark said. “You send everybody to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and you try to get Nick Saban to leave Alabama and become the coach. When you look at quarterback-coach relationships – Sean Payton and Drew Brees, Bill Belichick, Tom Brady –  there is mutual respect and accountability there. There is no one who can hold Aaron Rodgers more accountable than Nick Saban. If he asks for $10 million, you give it to him. Nothing left to prove in Tuscaloosa. He’s the guy you need.”

The Packers fired Super Bowl-winning coach Mike McCarthy earlier this season following an abysmal home loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

The move was too little too late as they have subsequently been eliminated from playoff contention.
