BuzzFeed all but invented the viral video—so it’s a pretty big slap in the face that former employees are now turning up on YouTube videos ripping the company in videos that are roping in millions of views.

The video series, entitled “Why I Left BuzzFeed,” features people like former video producer Safiya Nygaard, who recorded her testimonial in March 2017, and it has now been viewed nearly 8.7 million times. In the video she emphasizes that she’s imparting the reasons why she left, not “trashing” her former boss.

Another former video producer, Kenny Moffitt, said in his video, dated August 2016, that one of his reasons for leaving was the fact that “quantity trumps quality,” a reference to his expected video output. (His video has raked in 5.5 million views.)

Despite being a little overlong—and unless you are (a) a millennial or (b) a big BuzzFeed person, not really all that interesting—all of the videos are slickly produced and clearly well edited. Plus, they’re filled with pearls of wisdom on why actual people decide to quit their jobs.

And it seems to be working; six videos have tallied over a million views.
