A Wisconsin school district is investigating why a group of predominantly white, male students posed for a picture with their arms raised in a Nazi salute before their prom.

The boys are students at Baraboo High School, Madison 365 reported, and their picture was first posted on the website of a local motorcycle photographer before going viral on Twitter Sunday night.

The original tweet, which featured the caption, “we even got the black kid to throw it up,” has since been deleted.

One notably uncomfortable student, Jordan Blue, spoke out against the group shot, claiming the rest of the boys in the photo have bullied him since middle school and that he “knew what my morals were and it was not to salute something I firmly didn’t believe in.”

Baraboo School District Administrator Lori Mueller said on Twitter that the district is now investigating the incident.

“The photo of students posted to #BarabooProud is not reflective of the educational values and beliefs of the School District of Baraboo,” Mueller tweeted. “The District will pursue any and all available and appropriate actions, including legal, to address.”
