Winston Duke, who stole the show as M’Baku in Marvel’s blockbuster Black Panther, has his next role all lined up. He will be portraying legendary street fighter-turned MMA brawler Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson in the upcoming biopic Backyard Legend, reports Maxim. The screenplay is being written by White Boy Rick writer Andy Weiss.

Kimbo Slice battled high blood pressure for years. He died suddenly in 2016 from heart failure and a liver mass. He insisted on boxing months before his death, including a match that he won against Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris at Bellator 149 in Houston. The film will heavily feature Michael Imber, Kimbo’s longtime friend, manager, and employer.
