Bill Gates says that reading is his favorite way to indulge his curiosity, and that he likes to read about a variety of subjects. He recommends five books that he read this year, including Black Flags: The Rise of ISIS by Joby Warrick which offers a compelling lesson about how ISIS rose to power in Iraq. He also recommends The Color of Law by Richard Rothstein, which helped him understand the role federal policies have in creating racial segregation in America.
