Comedian Stephen Colbert laid into Facebook Monday night following a report from the New York Times that detailed how consultants of the Trump Campaign exploited the Facebook data of millions. The social media giant has acknowledged the breach, which included more than 50 million users, calling it a “scam and a fraud,” and telling the Times that the company thought the data was being collected for academic purposes. Colbert half-joked, “free will is an illusion,” and slammed the social network for failing to tell its users about the breach.

“Really? The one time I actually would have wanted a Facebook alert. Perhaps that could have replaced one of the four messages I get a day about my ex-roommate’s college girlfriend’s one-woman show. I’m a maybe, Sarah. That means no!”
