Comedian Stephen Colbert called out CNN on his late-night talkshow Thursday night for inaccurately crediting his skit with Dana Carvey this week to Saturday Night Live.
“Come on, CNN, this isn’t ‘SNL,’ unless you think ‘SNL’ stands for ‘Stephen’s Nightly Laughs,’” Colbert cracked. “Here’s how you can tell that clip wasn’t on Saturday Night Live: It was a Wednesday, we tape during the day time, and we’re not live. You got three things wrong in three letters,” Colbert said. “Still, it’s just nice to be recognized, so thank you, MSNBC.”
