HBO’s new documentary, The Newspaperman: The Life and Times of Ben Bradlee, paints a full picture of the complicated man who presided over The Washington Post’s coverage of the Watergate scandal that drove President Richard Nixon from office. Instead of only showing him as a heroic figure, HBO, the documentary also looks into the disaster of a young journalist fabricating a Pulitzer Prize-winning story while Bradlee was at the helm, as well as his three marriages and friendship with JFK.
