Criminals in 2028 Los Angeles have a very specific and top-secret hospital they check into if they’re injured on the job — but they’re only allowed inside the Hotel Artemis if they follow the stringent set of rules enforced by a harried Jodie Foster and her staff.
Written and directed by ‘Iron Man 3’ and ‘Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’ screenwriter Drew Pearce, “Hotel Artemis” boasts an original plot that pays homage to John Wick’s “Continental Hotel,” which serves as a neutral ground for criminals nursing their wounds. The stacked cast includes certified badases Sterling K. Brown, Brian Tyree Henry, Dave Bautista and Jeff Goldblum. Take a look at the wild trailer below — the movie opens in theaters on June 8.
