New Zealand’s University of Otago published a paper Monday in the Medical Journal of Australia, revealing that James Bond fits six out of 11 criteria for being an alcohol abuser, Fox News reports.
Over the course of six decades, 007 has sipped from 109 drinks while fighting international terrorism. The secret agent gulped down half dozen of his signature cocktails in 2008’s Quantum of Solace, which researchers believe places his blood alcohol level at a near-fatal 0.36%
Bond’s binge drinking does affect his work: he sleeps with the enemy (sometimes with knives and guns in the bed).
The study calls on MI6, 007’s employer, to do more to change the workplace culture around drinking and de-stressing. “MI6 management needs to redefine Bond’s job to reduce his stress levels. More field support and a stronger team approach are needed so that his duties do not weigh as heavily upon him,” the study suggests.Read the full story at Fox News
