Production for season six of House of Cards is underway, and with Kevin Spacey out following allegations of sexual assault against the actor, Robin Wright is front and center. Spacey had played the lead role of Frank Underwood for five seasons on the show. Wright played Underwood’s wife, Claire, and season six will center around her. At the end of last season, Claire was sworn in as preisdent after Frank resigned following an investigation by the “Declaration of War Committee” into his various unethicals behavior. The season ended with a surprising break of the fourth wall, with Claire turning to the camera and telling the audience, “My turn.” The first teaser for the new season shows Claire behind the Resolute desk in the Oval Office, and before the clip flashes to the words, “Hail to the Chief,” Claire says, “We’re just getting started.” There will be new faces on the show, including Cody Fern, Diane Lane, and Greg Kinnear, though it’s unclear what their roles will be. Fern recently told Entertainment Tonight,  “[There’s] an exciting energy. Listen, everyone is just so thrilled to be supporting Robin [Wright], and I think that she is a powerhouse, and it’s been about Robin since season two, and anyone who’s in denial of that hasn’t been watching the show. So, we’re just thrilled to get behind Robin and she is a powerhouse. I mean, what she is doing with Claire Underwood is phenomenal. And, it’s only going to get more interesting.” Check out the teaser below if you missed it:
