James Comey’s A Higher Loyalty may be coming to the small screen, as CBS TV Studios is nearing an agreement to turn the bestseller into a miniseries. The book, which covered Comey’s tumultuous relationship with Donald Trump leading up the former FBI director’s firing, received interested from several TV outlets.

Alex Kurtzman, one of the producers behind Star Trek: Discovery, will serve as executive producer on the project, while Billy Ray, who wrote Captain Phillips, will serve as screenwriter.

CBS TV Studios could send the project in any number of directions, from the flagship network itself to Showtime to CBS All Access. CBS TV Studios could also turn around sell the miniseries elsewhere.
