After making his name in fashion, photographer Marc Hom went on to become one the world’s premiere portraitures. The Danish photographer is known for his timeless and classic portraits of some of the most creative, influential, and notable individuals of our time. Hom has photographed figures such as Ben Affleck, Michelle Obama, Quentin Tarantino, and David Beckham for publications like W Magazine, Vanity Fair, GQ, the German Vogue, Esquire, and Harper’s Bazaar.
In November, Hom is slated to released his second book, Profiles, a stunning array of color and black-and-white portraits of charismatic figures from contemporary culture. In every portrait, the renowned photographer captures the essence of each of his “profiles” in a singular moment of candid vulnerability and vivid beauty.
“My new book is a collection of portraits taken over the last six to eight years, including exceptional profiles of creatives in the arts and cinema, plus meaningful images of family and friends,” Hom says. “The images originate from editorial assignments and personal sittings, and are a reflection on my fascination with the person and their innate beauty and character.”
Marc Hom’s Profiles will be published by teNeues in November. The book, which costs $95, is available for pre-order here. A preview of Hom’s stunning imagery is below.
