This weekend, there’s a massive cultural event that will be taking place in Europe.

No, not the Royal Wedding.

On Saturday, the closing ceremony of the 71st annual Cannes Film Festival will welcome actors, actresses and directors to the red carpet and recognize their work.

Unfortunately, we aren’t going to be there—and we’re guessing neither are you. As a substitute, we did a little research about the top films at the festival, found some of the best actresses appearing in said films, then followed ‘em on Instagram.

You should too.

Laura Harrier
What she’s in: BlacKkKlansman
What you know her from: Spider-Man: Homecoming
Her deal: A Chicago native, Laura began her professional career as a model before transitioning into acting. It was obviously a smart move as the 28-year-old is considered to be a rising star in Hollywood. Despite the West Coast calling, Laura has lived in NYC ever since attending William Esper Studio acting school.

Riley Keough
What she’s in: Under the Silver Lake
What you know her from: Logan Lucky
Her deal: The eldest grandchild of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley, Riley is married to Australian stuntman Ben Smith-Peterson. Born in California, Riley started out as a model and first appeared on a runway for Dolce & Gabbana. Considering she grew up between Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, Graceland and her father’s trailer park, Riley would probably be a fascinating woman to speak to at a cocktail party.

What you know her fromGame of Thrones
Her deal: Born in London, Clarke called in sick to the catering company she was scheduled to work for when she got an audition call for the role of of Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones—smart move. Since then, she has gone on to act on Broadway and appeared in a number of other feature films.

Sofia Boutella
What she’s in: Fahrenheit 451
What you know her from: Atomic Blonde
Her deal: The daughter of jazz musician Safy Boutella, Sofia graduated from Berklee College of Music and was best known for her skills as a dancer before her acting career took off. While she was a backup dancer for Madonna, Michael Jackson was so impressed with Sofia’s moves that he offered her a job on his “This Is It” tour. Sadly, he died before the tour began.
