Academy Award-winning actress Julianne Moore will portray feminist icon Gloria Steinem in an upcoming biopic called My Life On The Road, based on Steinem’s memoir of the same name, Deadline is reporting.

Directed by Julie Taymor and written by playwright Sarah Ruhl, the movie doesn’t have a release date yet, but it will follow Steinem’s growth into a symbol of gender equality. It couldn’t be more timely, either, coming on the heels of explosive New York Times and New Yorker reports that powerful men like movie producer Harvey Weinstein and Fox News pundit Bill O’Reilly used their positions to sexually abuse or harass women. But Moore recently told Elle that gender inequality isn’t limited to Hollywood or the media.

“It’s something that’s happening all over the world in every profession,” Moore told Elle. “One of the things I think is silly is to make equality only about Hollywood, because it’s not a Hollywood issue; it’s a human issue.”
