There’s a lot more to being a Victoria’s Secret model than just showing up in underwear and looking pretty.

To get ready for the taping of the Victoria’s Secret fashion show on Friday in New York City, New Zealand model Georgia Fowler has been working out like a maniac and dieting like a fiend.

In an interview with news.com.au, Fowler – who first walked in the show in 2016 but was rejected five times before she made the cut – revealed she works out two hours a day with a personal trainer and usually adds in a pilates or boxing class to boot.

“We mix strength training with more steady state conditioning days. I also add in pilates, boxing and I have to keep moving all the time,” the 26-year-old said. “This year I set myself a running goal. I’m not a runner and I don’t really enjoy it, but it lets me challenge myself.”

In the run-up to the taping of the show, Fowler has also tightened her already strict diet.

“I’m very healthy already. I eat whole foods, nothing processed,” she said. “But in the immediate lead-up to the show I cut out all alcohol, sugar, dairy and eat lots of good fats like avocado, nuts, salmon, greens. You get used to eating a certain way and I don’t really crave sugar anymore. I just stick to that and I think after the show you have to treat yourself. Deprivation is the worst thing because you can’t stick to it.”

Whatever Fowler is doing, it seems to be doing the trick.
