There’s Miami, there’s New Orleans, and, of course, there’s Vegas. We think it’s high time for American men to re-consider their options when it comes to planning their bachelor parties, and opt for new frontiers — both home and abroad. Here, we’ve rounded up a handful of the best bachelor party destinations that never crossed your mind.

1. Kulm Hotel St.Moritz & Grand Hotel Kronenhof Pontresina

Nothing says unexpected bachelor party like hurtling down a mountain headfirst at speeds of up to 90 mph, your nose only just above the ice with your best guy friends – in fact, the activity itself is reserved for men only. Both the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz and The Grand Hotel Kronenhof Pontresina offer the unique, adrenaline-pumping opportunity to experience the Cresta Run, a natural ice run, built from scratch every year with snow which is then iced. The death-defying adventure is just one small part of this alpine hideaway, where winter sports like snow polo, snow-shoeing, and, of course, skiing and snow boarding are must-dos.

2. Inn at Dos Brisas – Washington, Texas
