It’s less than a minute long, but the newly released teaser for the fourth season of Netflix’s Black Mirror strikes a haunting chord with anyone who’s ever been in charge of a child, if only for an afternoon. Directed by Jodie Foster, the episode is called “Arkangel,” and features Rosemarie DeWitt’s character as a mother who loses track of her young daughter. Once she’s found again, the mother makes a decision to protect her using technology — but viewers know that in the world of Black Mirror, tech and protection are far from synonymous.
The new season is set to stream in 2018.
