This fall, there will be a glut of new broadcast and cable television shows premiering every day of the week. RealClearLife has curated a list—based on the shows’ teaser trailers (see below)—of the five shows that look the most promising. Also included below are the day and time of the week.

Fox’s Lethal Weapon: stars Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans, Sr. (based on the popular film franchise) – Wednesdays at 8 p.m.


ABC’s Designated Survivor: stars Kiefer Sutherland – Wednesdays at 10 p.m. 

NBC’s The Good Place: stars Ted Danson and Kristen Bell – Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.

CBS’ MacGyver: stars Lucas Till as the title character (reboots the series that ran from 1985-92) – Fridays at 8 p.m.

Netflix’s Luke Cage: stars Mike Colter as the title character – all episodes premiere on Sept. 30
