More information about Russian meddling in the 2016 election is emerging. Politico reports a “complicated effort” created to sew divisions amongst Facebook users by alternately backing Donald Trump, Green Party candidate Jill Stein, and Bernie Sanders, even after his campaign for president ended.

“Choose peace and vote for Jill Stein,” Politico reports one ad reading. “Trust me. It’s not a wasted vote. … The only way to take our country back is to stop voting for the corporations and banks that own us. #GrowaSpineVoteJillStein.”

Many of the ads also reportedly pushed liberal criticisms of Clinton’s candidacy and question her authenticity.
