America is a land of opportunity and odd food combinations.
But apparently, if social media reaction is to be used as a barometer, combining chicken fingers and soda in the land of the free and home of the brave doesn’t, well, pass mustard.
During Monday’s television broadcast of the US Open, a woman was caught on camera dipping her chicken fingers in a cup of cola.
So this happened at the US Open today… 🧐 pic.twitter.com/fRDmpd3YWE

Like the young man she was with, most of the viewing public was incredulous at what she was doing.
Here’s some of the best of the internet calling foul on her fowl dipping:
Dipping chicken tenders in soda is a thing???

The heat makes you do strange things that is for sure. One minute you're enjoying lunch out there the next minute you're dunking a chicken finger in your soda like a maniac let's be honest. pic.twitter.com/fal4XzJwjQ

I just want to know if chicken strips and soda is her thing or if she ran out of dipping sauce and improvised. https://t.co/I5mgoyVkvB

If the woman who just dipped a chicken finger into her soda during the #USOpen doesn’t become a meme then I’ve lost all hope in the Internet.
