Two Men Wearing Jetpacks Fly Alongside World’s Largest Passenger Jet

Talk about an airborne escort. Jetpack-wearing daredevils Yves Rossy (a Swiss military trained pilot) and Vince Reffet (a French professional skydiver) recently took to the friendly skies over Dubai and fell into formation with an Emirates Airbus A380, the world’s largest passenger jet.

While the behemoth jetliner soared at a comfortable altitude of 4,000 feet, the two men were dropped from a helicopter at 5,500 feet, so that they could conduct their carefully choreographed run alongside it. This was all accomplished over the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai skyline, with a backdrop of the tallest building in the world (a.k.a. the Burj Khalifa).

When engaging in insane feats of jetpackery, the two men call themselves “Jetman Dubai,” and they want to hear from you. If you’re interested in getting in touch with them, send them a missive using the hashtag #AskJetman on either Twitter or Facebook.
