What can Brown(s) do for you? Score you some free beer – provided they actually win a game.

Riding a 17-game regular-season losing streak that dates back to 2016, the Cleveland Browns are heading into this NFL season with a snowball’s chance in hell forecast of reaching the Super Bowl.

Still, now their long-suffering fans do have something to look forward to as free beer will be distributed via smart fridges in bars around the city that will automatically and simultaneously unlock when the Browns win their first game of the season. If they win that elusive game, that is.

In addition to bars, the eight-foot Bud Light Cleveland Browns Victory Fridges will be installed at Cleveland’s FirstEnergy Stadium.

“The Bud Light Browns Victory Fridge is a fun way to celebrate and reward a fanbase that has never wavered in enthusiasm or dedication for their team no matter what happens,” said Bud Light marketing VP Andy Goeler. “We’re proud to show our support for Cleveland, and we’re always looking to bring NFL fans and friends together for memorable experiences. It’s going to be fun to be part of the celebration when the team earns their first victory of the season.”

To get one of the beers, fans must be inside a bar and carded when the game clock on Cleveland’s game strikes zero with the Browns in the lead. They may be waiting a little while.
