It appears the deal with devil Nick Foles made last season to play at an MVP level and lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl title has expired.
Foles, who is still filling in for injured Philadelphia starter Carson Wentz, threw two first-half interceptions and was also stripped for a fumble, downed for a safety and sacked three times on Thursday night.

He did complete 13 of 17 passes for 127 yards, but was unable to get the Eagles on the scoreboard and Philadelphia fell to the Cleveland Browns—who were winless last season—by the ugly baseball-like tally of 5-0.
It was an ominous performance by the defending champs, as they have just two weeks to fix what ails them before opening the NFL season against the Atlanta Falcons on September 6.
Wentz has been working in 11-on-11 drills but has yet to be cleared following knee surgery, which means Foles will have to start at quarterback to open the season and likely for several weeks beyond.
There have been better preseasons than the one Nick Foles has compiled this year…

Considering Foles has been unable to lead Philadelphia’s first-team offense to a single point on 14 drives during three preseason contests, the Eagles’ future is looking less and less promising each day.
“I don’t want to single out one player, so don’t put this all on Nick,” Eagles coach Doug Pederson said after the game. “I’m disappointed in the offense. It’s not what you want obviously in the third preseason week. We still want to evaluate and make sure we got the right guys in the right spots.”
