Stephen Curry: Trump’s Aggression Toward LeBron Based on “Longstanding Racism”

According to the GSW star, the president has issues with “black men with a voice in power.”

Individuals ranging from politicians to pro football players have already spoken out on LeBron James’ behalf after Donald Trump questioned his intelligence on Twitter.

Now, James is getting support from one of his biggest rivals: Steph Curry of the Warriors.

Prior to the Ellie Mae Classic golf tournament, the Golden State star spoke out about the situation between Trump and James and offered his thoughts on the main cause behind it.

“That rhetoric is all based in some long-standing racism in terms of black men with a voice in power,” Curry told The San Jose Mercury News. “Unfortunately, that’s being revealed more and more as the days go on.”

In the past, Curry has put his money where his mouth was when he made that remark as the Warriors didn’t visit the White House after winning the last two NBA championships primarily because of the president’s presence.

Curry’s words are just doubling down on what he posted on Twitter when the controversy with Trump and James originally began over the weekend.

He should probably be watching his Twitter timeline for an attack of his own from Trump soon.
