Hyped as a matchup between two teams with Super Bowl aspirations, Pittsburgh was dominant after falling behind 7-0 and won by a lopsided 52-21 margin.
“This is what we expected,” Roethlisberger said. “We knew we were going to have to put up a lot of points. We did that. The defense, they were playing like their hair was on fire.”
Big Ben was able to accomplish all that despite taking a dirty hit from defensive back Eric Reid, who was subsequently ejected.

Pittsburgh was able to explode on offense despite still being without Le’Veon Bell. Backup James Conner filled in admirably yet again with 65 rushing yards and a touchdown before leaving with a concussion.
Bell could be back next week, but there is still much to be determined.
With the win, the Steelers improved to 6-2-1 while the Panthers fell to 6-3.
