A Redskins executive with ties a report from The New York Times that members of the team’s cheerleading squad were required to pose topless for sponsors and ticket holders has resigned.
Until a few weeks ago, Dennis Greene had served as Washington’s President of Business Operation but recently had his title changed to President of Hospitality.
Named in a previous Times story as one of two executives who accompanied nine members of the cheerleading team and two executives during a shady night out in Costa Rica, Greene was once again named in a new story that was published Thursday morning.
In the piece, a former Washington ambassador cheerleader described how Greene would go about selecting the two women he would bring with him to sponsor suites during home games.
“He would look each of us up and down and say, I want that one and that one, and everyone hated when you got selected for that,” the former ambassador said. “It was humiliating, like we were cattle.”
Greene joined the team in 2001 after stints working for multiple Fortune 500 companies.
