UFC fan favorite Conor McGregor has big guns, a tremendous work ethic, swagger, and enviable fighting skills. But does he have what it takes to defeat a boxing champ like Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

The experts are already counting him out.

Shortly after the initial news broke of the Mayweather-McGregor fight this week, a throng of fans took to their social handles, weighing each man’s chances in the ring. The prevailing conclusion? McGregor has little if no chance at all against Mayweather, and the early odds from the Vegas sports books help prove that point:

The Washington Post put together a list of the reasons why the Mayweather-McGregor fight is going to be a one-sided rout.

1.) He’s Never Formally Trained as a Boxer Before this year- Which goes a long way when you think about it. That’s the equivalent of playing a round of mini-golf and then challenging Rory McIlroy to a scramble.

2.) No Glove, No Love – McGregor pounds away at UFC opponents using four-ounce gloves. The ones he’ll have to wear against Mayweather Jr.? Six ounces heavier. That will have an effect on his speed.

3.) Length Matters – The longest McGregor has ever gone in UFC is five rounds. This boxing match will last 12—if he’s even around to see it last that long.

4.) The Losing End of Distance – UFC fighters can “kick away” opponents, per the Post, using their feet to keep a distance and allowing them to recharge mentally when needed. In the boxing ring, there’s obviously no kicking involved—and you’re right up in each other’s grills. Hopefully, McGregor doesn’t forget that not using his feet will force him to stay on his toes.
