Never one to stay silent when it comes to supporting her husband, Kate Upton took a slightly different tact last night when the winners of the MLB’s Cy Young awards were announced.

For the second time in three years, Upton’s hubby Justin Verlander finished as the runner-up for the AL Cy Young award, this year losing out to Blake Snell of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Two years ago when Verlander finished behind Rick Porcello of the Boston Red Sox, Upton unleashed an NSFW Twitter rant that went viral.

Verlander waited for the announcement with some wine …

… while Upton indicated she was being supervised on social media.

This time around, Upton was more subdued after the announcement, although she did take a shot a (soft) at Snell’s club.

It’s possible Verlander winning the World Series last year with the Houston Astros or the couple becoming parents to a daughter, Genevieve,  helped cushion the blow this time around.
