Following their team’s epic win on Monday Night FootballLos Angeles Rams players Jared Goff and Andrew Whitworth returned to the field to meet with the families of some of the victims from the horrific Thousand Oaks mass shooting.

It was an emotional moment as the quarterback and the left tackle put on a hold on celebrating their 54-51 win over the Kansas City Chiefs and instead honored those killed at Borderline Bar and Grill earlier this month.

Once a video of the moment was posted on Twitter, Whitworth retweeted it along with the message “Bigger than football!” Goff then retweeted that.

That doubled down on what Whitworth said to reporters after the game.

“I’ll tell you what, you sometimes realize things are bigger than yourself,” he said.  “Coming off of a win, you realize quickly, man, there’s a whole lot of things more important than football.”
