The last time Boston and Philadelphia faced off in a playoff game, the Eagles knocked off the Patriots 41-33 to capture the City of Brotherly Love’s first-ever Super Bowl win.

The tables were turned on Monday in Boston as the Celtics dominated the 76ers from start to finish during a 117-101 Game 1 win to start the longtime rivals’ second-round series.

Three-point shooting was the name of the game as the Celtics drained 17-35 (48.6%) of their shots from distance while the Sixers managed to hit only 5-26 (19.2%) of their long-range bombs.

Seven of the Celtics three-pointers came from point guard Terry Rozier who dumped in 29 points on the night. Backing him were rookie Jayson Tatum with a career-high 28 points and veteran big man Al Horford with 26.

Joel Embiid was excellent for Philly with 31 points and he got some support from Ben Simmons (18 points) and J.J. Redick (20 points). The best-of-seven series will resume on Thursday night in Boston.

Tonight, Cleveland will be in Toronto as the Cavs and Raptors face off in Game 1 of their best-of-seven series while New Orleans will be in Golden State for the second game of their second-round series. The Warriors lead 1-0 after squashing the Pelicans in Game 1.
