While acting in Amy Schumer’s 2015 comedy, Trainwreck, LeBron James was, somewhat surprisingly, not one.

And, his former teammate and rival Kyrie Irving’s film/elongated Pepsi ad Uncle Drew has actually done well at the box office and not been totally panned since hitting theaters late last month.

That’s why it’s really not all that surprising James is now in talks to star in a comedy of his own.

Oh yeah. James also just joined the Lakers. In Los Angeles. Where Hollywood is located. Duh.

Along with writer Steve Mallory, James and his SpringHill Entertainment company have sold an untitled comedy pitch to Paramount Players. James is set to star in the movie project, Variety reports.

Mallory will write the script for the film, which he has already been working with SpringHill on for several months. James will produce with his SpringHill partner Maverick Carter.

On July 1, James agreed to a four-year, $154 million deal to leave the Cavs and join the Lakers.
