Stanford’s Humanoid Diving Robot Goes Where Humans Can’t

The Stanford Robotics Lab has created a robot for diving expeditions too dangerous for humans. OceanOne is remotely piloted and has haptic feedback systems, which allow the pilot to feel as if they were present themselves. The two-handed humanoid bot was recently put to the test, diving in French waters. OceanOne was used to recover artifacts from La Lune, King Louis XIV’s ship that sunk 20 miles from the coast of France in 1664. Watch the video below to learn more.
