You probably know astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson from his turn hosting the wildly popular hit miniseries Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey. Since then, he’s launched an Emmy-nominated podcast/radio show, which has been turned into a late-night talk show, StarTalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson, that airs on the National Geographic Channel (its third season premieres on Sept. 19).
Guesting on another late-night talker, The Late Late Show with James Corden, deGrasse Tyson talked about how he and his wife (who has a Ph.D. in mathematical physics) applied science to how their kids learned about the tooth fairy. Watch the results below. (Also, watch him answer three questions posed by another Corden guest, Andy Samberg.)
