Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater house in Mill Run, Pennsylvania, is a National Historic Landmark, oozing with Wright’s architectural brilliance. It’s actually not for sale, but house hunters could land a similar property by the famed architect that’s six-and-a-half hours eastward.

The Wright property in question is being billed as a close cousin of the iconic home, and also features a waterfall but has a different name and backstory. Called Tiranna (the Aboriginal word for “running water”), the horseshoe-shaped house was constructed on 15 acres of property in New Canaan, Connecticut, back in 1955.

The 7,000-square-foot house, which sits on the banks of the Noroton River, was owned for the last 20 years by the late businessman and philanthropist Ted Stanley and his wife, Vada, who restored the home to its original splendor, as well as restoring the original artwork featured in its walls and the lush gardens surrounding the property. It has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, and the property includes a barn, swimming pool, tennis courts, and a sculpture path that leads down to the river’s edge.

The house also has a few unique twists and turns. Besides a rooftop observatory with a telescope, the home features a caretaker’s suite, guest studio, gold-leaf chimneys, and his/her baths in the master suite.
