In a cheeky show of solidarity, Tom Hanks sent an espresso machine to the White House press corps. According to the Guardian, Hanks has been doing this since 2004, when he sent a similar machine to the journalists covering George W. Bush’s second presidential term.

The espresso machine came with a cartoon of American soldiers “flushed with victory … bringing in thousands of hungry, ragged, battle-weary prisoners,” along with a note urging them to “keep up the good fight for Truth, Justice and the American way. Especially for the Truth part.”

The two-time Oscar winner’s gift comes shortly after the Trump Administration blocked reporters from the Guardian, the New York Times, and CNN from attending a press briefing.

Hanks humorously chided the White House press corps for their treatment of the last coffee machine he sent them back in 2010, telling them “you know, you are supposed to clean this after every use.”
