One of the most powerful and mysterious men in media is evolving online, according to The Week, by changing visuals and colors on his narrative-setting website and the social media platform he’s personally active on: Twitter.

Matt Drudge, who founded and edits the conservative outlet Drudge Report, is responsible for helping set the news cycle on any given day, CNN notes. He’s also been an ardent supporter of President Trump until recently; not only has he showcased stories critical of the president’s administration on the changed face of his website, but in his extremely rare personal tweets, Drudge has taken specific aim at President Trump, like in the images below.

Drudge deletes his tweets after 24 hours — something his critics say underlines his paranoia and propensity for conspiracy theories — but these rare glimpses into the mogul’s mind show a man not only aware of pop and political culture, but one leading a movement into darker, more unclear waters.

“We have clearly entered a historic era,” Drudge recently told Axios about his decision to devoid his online presence of color. “It’s feeling like the Roaring 20’s this autumn with tech valuations at such hysterical heights. The socials, like Instagram Live, are alive with the spirit of Warhol. The sound of the atom splitting is looming over Korea. What’s old is new. So, black and white and read all over!”
