Los Angeles is casting itself as a federal government watchdog.

The Los Angeles City Council has passed a resolution pressing for a probe into President Trump’s potentially impeachable offenses, including conflicts of interests and business ventures, HuffPost reports.

The resolution, which passed 10 to 0 last week, specifically calls for an investigation into whether or not President Trump has violated the Foreign Emoluments Clause of the Constitution. It also names “any other high crime or misdemeanor sufficient to warrant commencement” of impeachment proceedings.

One of the resolution’s co-authors said in a speech before the resolution’s passage: It’s “not about any of his policies that I and many of us here find completely odious…this is about conflict of interest.”
