Jeffrey Lord may be joining Breitbart, reports The Daily BeastLord, a former Reagan administration official and pro-Trump political commentator, was fired from CNN two weeks ago after tweeting “Sieg Heil!”

Steve Bannon, Trump’s former chief strategist who was fired Friday, is back at the helm of Breitbart. According to the Daily Beast, Breitbart reached out to Lord post-firing in regards to writing on the site, either as a contributor or potentially a steadier job.

Lord emailed The Daily Beast last week that he was actively exploring post-CNN media options, stating that he had “three possibilities already! LOL!” and was “taking a week off and then back to figuring out the future.” He did not immediately respond to comment to the Daily Beast when they followed up.

Lord knows many staffers at the site, which has often praised his work, and he has appeared on Breitbart’s radio program and quoted as an expert.

Breitbart is in a period of transition. Bannon has “pledged to further weaponize Breitbart as a vehicle for his brand of right-wing populist-nationalist politics,” writes the Daily Beast, and against his enemies, which include some people within Trump’s administration.
