Canadian bacon might soon come with a side of hash.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau introduced legislation on Thursday to legalize the recreational use of marijuana in Canada, a bill that’s been broadly shaped by a panel of experts and is expected to pass, the New York Times reports.

There are issues that still need to be addressed before legal sales can begin, the Times notes, but the passing of the law would make Canada only the second nation in the world, after Uruguay, to make marijuana completely legal as a consumer product.

Read more about the bill in the New York Times article.
