Snoop Dogg alluded to Donald Trump’s assassination on the cover for his EP Make America Crip Again, reports New York Daily NewsThe EP recreates Ice Cube’s 1091 album, Death Certificate.

The rapper, who has been known to criticize Trump in the past, is standing behind a body that has a tag with the name “Trump” attached to the toe, reports Daily News.

On the track, Snoop Dogg raps, “The President says he wants to make America great again. F–k that shit. We gonna make America crip again,” according to Daily News.

However, the singer, known for hits like Gin and Juice, said that the image was “not a statement or political act,” reports Daily News, but “just good music.”

In a statement obtained by Rolling Stone, Snoop Dogg says, “Certain people feel like we should make America ‘great again,’ but that time they’re referring to always takes me back to separation and segregation so I’d rather Make America Crip Again.”

As for what “crip” means, the musician, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., said he is talking about a time when young black men joined together to help their communities.

“A lot of people glorify the gang-banging and violence but forget that in the beginning, the Crips’ main and sole purpose was to be the reflection of the Black Panthers,” he said, according to Daily News. “They looked after kids, provided after-school activities, fed them, and stepped in as role models and father figures.”

Earlier this year, Snoop released a music video where he shot at a clown dressed as Trump. The president responded by saying the rapper’s career was “failing.”
