Real Time MRI of an Opera Singer Performing Wagner

The next time you’re at the Metropolitan Opera, you may look at the performers on stage a little bit differently. Thanks to the Freiburger Institute of Musician’s Medicine, now we know what it looks like—on an MRI scanner—inside an opera singer’s vocal tract. Watch the amazing video below of baritone Michael Volle singing a Wagner aria.
