Let it never be said that heavy metal is solely the domain of white, long-haired men. The Indonesian girls who make up the band Voice of Baceprot—who range from 15 to 16 years old and are hail from Garut, West Java—wear traditional Muslim head scarves or hijabs when playing their searing (if not slightly funky) brand of heavy metal.

According to Caters News, the band consists of Firrda Kurnia (lead guitarist/vocals, Widi Rahmawati (bass/vocals), and Euis Siti (drums), and the trio plays both covers in English and originals. Their list of influences include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, System of a Down, and Sublime.

Listen to their track, “The Enemy of the Earth Is You,” above.
